How the Rental Process Works

Beach House Rental Fees

The rental fee is paid in three non-refundable parts:

  • 6% initial fee due at time of reservation to lock-in desired dates.  Master Card & Visa accepted.
  • 1/2 of the rental fee is due within one week to confirm the reservation.  Cash, money order or cashiers checks are accepted.  
  • Remaining balance due in cash, money order or cashiers checks 30 days prior to arrival.

Other Fees

In addition to the Beach House Renal Fee, other guest fees include:

  • $45 Accidental damage protection fee
  • $45 Administrative fee
  • Ocean City tax (4.5%)
  • Maryland State tax (6.0%)

Sunset Island Registration Fees

Parking and activity passes must be purchased directly from Sunset Island's Community Association upon check-in.  This is a separate charge for items that cannot be pre-purchased.  These passes are not included in or covered by the reservation process.  The Sunset Island Community Association will sell and distribute these items to you upon your arrival, as described below.  The Fee is based on the type of home you rent.  The renter will be responsible for paying the registration fee at the Sunset Island Communicty Association building during the check-in process.

  • Condos.  A $75 Registration Fee includes 6 activity passes and 2 parking passes.
  • Townhomes. A $100 Registration Fee includes 6 activity passes and 3 parking passes.
  • Single Family Homes. A $100 Registration Fee includes 6 activity passes and 3 parking passes.

Additional activity passes may be purchased from the Sunset Island Community Association.

 

Linens, Towels, Baby & Beach Equipment

What to Bring

Beach house guests are provided with pillows and comforters.  Guests should make arrangements to bring or rent the following items prior to their visit to Sunset Island: 

  • Linens (sheets),
  • Towels, washcloths, toiletries
  • Paper products (paper towels, napkins, toilet paper),
  • Soaps (bathroom, kitchen, laundry)
  • Beach equipment (chairs, umbrellas),
  • Baby gear (cribs, strollers)

Linens, towels, baby and beach equipment are available for rent. These items can be placed in your rental beach home prior to your arrival.

  • Guests may make arrangements for the above (and more) by contracting directly wiht Ocean City Beach & Linen Rentals: 1 (800) 422-2742 or on-line at: Linen Rentals.
  • Sunset Island Rentals does not offer these services to its guests.  Sunset Island Rentals is not affiliated with any third-party equipment supplier.
